The majority of our wigs are made of 100% human hair. However, we also have a number of synthetic and hand pre-braided wigs. Our wigs used for medical patients are the wigs that are "glueless". These wigs allow you to put it on and remove it quickly.
The hallmark of glueless lace front wigs is the inclusion of an adjustable elastic band at the back of the wig cap. This elastic band is designed to fit snugly around the wearer's head, providing a secure and comfortable fit. Unlike traditional wigs that rely on adhesive for stability, the elastic band keeps the wig in place, ensuring it stays firmly on your head throughout the day.
To further customize the fit of a glueless lace front wig, most models come with adjustable straps at the nape of the neck. These straps allow you to tighten or loosen the wig to your preferred comfort level. The combination of the elastic band and adjustable straps ensures that the wig conforms to your head shape and remains securely in place.
We also have wigs with smaller caps. These are labeled "small head friendly" wigs.
When obtaining a medical prescription, the most commonly used codes are A9282 (synthetic wig) and L8499 (human hair wig). Ensure your doctor writes the Rx for a 'Medical Hair Prosthesis' or 'Cranial Prosthesis” (NOT a wig), and make sure they include your diagnosis code. If your prescription states a "wig", it will be denied since this word is deemed a fashion item and not a medical necessity.
